Origin of the Public Accountant Day in Mexico
Public Accountant's Day is celebrated on May 25 because it was on this date in 1907, the day that Fernando Diez Barros took the exam to obtain the first title of Commercial Accountant issued in Mexico by the School of Commerce and Administration. .
Years later, on December 20, 1925, the Secretariat of Public Education of Mexico, revalidated the title obtained by Barroso and granted him the degree of Public Accountant, thus becoming the first graduate of this profession in the country. For this reason, it is affirmed that Fernando Diez Barroso is the father of Mexican Accounting.
But in addition, this accountant was a scholar and researcher of the profession and was also the founder and president of the Mexican Institute of Accountants. This is the reason why Public Accountant Day is celebrated on May 25 and from here we send a congratulatory greeting to all professionals in this important field.
